Storyboard Text

  • This is Zack. He has recently turned 15 years old. He wants to prove to his elder that he is ready to start this intense, solitary journey.
  • Zack is seeking direction. Zack has been preparing himself this past year for his vision quest. He has been growing and collecting crops for his family. His elder acknowledges the work Zack has been doing.
  • The elder tells Zack that he is now ready to start his vision quest.
  • Zack begins his vision quest at a sacred forest, where he now will have no food for 3-4 days and be completely isolated. He will wait for his dream spirit to arrive.
  • Zacks dream spirit arrives in the form of a wolf. The wolf stood strong and howled to the sky. Zack can now make his way back home.
  •    Zack is now home where his elder's explains his interpretation. He explains to Zack that a wolf has a strong sense of self, communicates well and often finds new solutions to problems while providing stability and support to the family structure. This indicated that Zack should be a teacher.
