  • BACK IN 1755.....
  • They also felt threathned by the Acadians and the French, who they don't trust...
  • I think that the Acadians are threating us..
  • The British felt threatened by the First Nations who were defending their land.

  • ...But the Acadians didn't agree.
  • NEVER!!!
  • DO IT!!!
  • OATH OF ALLIGIENCE
  • Governer Charles Lawrence demanded the Acadians to sign the oath of allegiance to be on their side and fight the French.
  • Mom? Dad? What's wrong?!
  • Britain then ordered the expulsion of the Acadians...
  • AHHHHH!!!
  • Acadians were rounded up and shipped to Europe or distant Britain colonies.
  • Other Acadians have also died because of exposure or starvation while hiding...
  • Few Acadians escaped and hid in the forests, some also found the French and First Nations and stayed with them.
  • Mom, I'm hungry..
  • Families were separated.. some never saw or found each other again
  • NO!! Please don't send them away!!
  • MOVE ALONG AND ON THE BOAT!!!
  • we don't want to leave..
  • When the Acadians were forced away from their homes...
  • The expulsion lasted for 8 years...(1763)
  • BURN EVERYTHING!!!!!
  • The British burned their homes down and they had no reason to return..
