No tolerance for violence against women
On 2014, Campsie Police and Canterbury City Council encouraged the local community to join a march to raise awareness of violence against women in Lakemba.
The theme of the White Ribbon march was around men 'Walking the Talk' to show that violence against women will not be tolerated in the community, regardless of the form it may take.
In particular, the focus was on teaching young people appropriate interpersonal behaviour, and ensuring the enforcement of the ‘no tolerance for violence against women’ value in their community.
