“No more talk, Steve. You’re going to talk us into a grave! You’d let whatever’s out there walk right over us, wouldn’t yuh? Well, some of us won’t!” (Serling, 82). This quote shows how people can be very accusing, leading them into even more chaos than they have created.
“[The people shout, accuse, scream. The camera tilts back and forth. We see panic-stricken faces in close-up and tilting shots of houses as the lights go on and off” (Serling, 85).This quote shows that people went crazy, to the point where they went insane, screaming at each other.
"Figure Two. And this pattern is always the same?" "Figure One. With few variations. They pick the most dangerous enemy they can find... and it's themselves" (Serling, 86). This shows how when observed, man's worst enemy can be themselves.
