  • British forces under command of their generals, William Howe and Robert Pigot, march up Breed's Hill
  • June 17th 1775
  • The British make it to the hill. A battle ensues. 
  • Don't fire until you see the whites of their eyes!
  • The British are annihilated, causing them to retreat, but eventually coming back for more. 
  • On their second time coming up, the Americans have to use glass and rocks as ammo. Their gunpowder is depleting as well. 
  • On the British 3rd time coming up the hill, the American's run out of ammo. They are forced to retreat.
  • While the British may've won the battle...
  • ...they suffered heavy casualties.
  • The British had 200 killed and 800 wounded...
  • ...while the Americans had only 100 killed and 300 wounded.
