  • Both the poem and the deposition states that Paul Revere met with Dr. Warren to ask him to hang lanterns as a signal. Two if by sea one by land at the North Church. Then Paul Revere went to Lexington with the other riders to meet Hancock and Samuel Adams.
  • you will never get me a alive
  • I just did Mr. Revere
  • In the deposition it states that Paul Revere is stopped by two British officers. But, in the poem it says that Paul Revere is courageous and nobody stops him. He out maneuvers the British officers and rode to Lexington. He alerts everyone on the trail to Lexington.
  • bang!
  • you know I got 500 patriots coming here to free me
  • lets get out of here!
  • In both the poem and deposition Paul Revere reaches Lexington. He wakes the captain of the Minute Men. He finds Adams and Hancock and alerts them about the Red Coats. He also wonders where Mr. Daws is. After 1/2 hour the riders set off for Concord.

  • In the deposition Paul Revere and two of the riders get surrounded and then captured on the way to Concord. Paul Revere tricks the Red Coats and scares them. While this is happening one of the riders gets away and makes it to Concord to warn them.
  • In the deposition Paul Revere tells the captain of the Red Coats that there 500 patriots coming. He told them there were no reinforcements for the Red Coats. Gun shots were suddenly fired. This scared the Red Coats making them flee taking Paul Revere's horse along the way. Paul Revere was left to walk the rest of the way to Lexington.
  • In both the poem and the deposition the patriots found the Red Coats giving them bullet to bullet causing the Red Coats to flee. As the Red Coats returned for second time the militia caused them to retreat.
