  • Prologue
  • But that means we have to cross the king's rules. Im not ready for that.
  • Ismene you must help me, the king ordered not to bury Polyneices body.
  • Scene I
  • Now that I am king, i will not fail you and i will protect Thebes from its enmies and traitors.
  • Scene II
  • Stay where you are dont move!
  • First Antigone and Ismene both meet at the beginning of the play. Antigone tells her about the kings rules and she tries to ask Ismene to join her to bury their brother's body. Ismene then refuses and Antigone completes the plan herself.
  • Scene III
  • But father, she is my fiance!
  • Rules apply to all son!
  • Creon starts his speech as a king and proves he can protect Thebes at any cost even if it means execution of a friend or family.
  • Scene IV
  • Stay strong Antigone!
  • In this scene, Antigone is caught burying her brother Polyneices. She cries and doesn't try to escape, which shows her bravery. She knows the consequences and agrees to face them. She then is sent to Creon and is questioned if she did the act in which she does not deny and gets sent to prison till she faces death.
  • Scene V
  • What have I done!
  • After Haemon heard his father's orders in killing Antigone, he came to discuss with his father about his fiance's consequence in which is death, but warns him this might lead to his death too.
  • Antigone is sent to prison till she faces death. She doesnt change and isent afraid, she shows bravery. She talks to the Choragus and says that Creon should be punished for what he is doing and asks the Choragus to leave her alone because this is her fate.
  • He should be punished for what he is doing, he upset the gods!!
  • Teiresias the prophet later gives a message to the king, he tells him his family will face death one by one since he upset the gods by not burying Polyneices and punishing Antigone falsely. He feels very sad and wishes he had his family beside him to comfort him, but he lost them.
