Dang, the mold must've landed there when I left it uncovered.
Wait a minute.....
Someone invented this antibiotic! We could use it to tend to his wounds and fight off any infections!
Alexander Fleming was doing research to try to find a cure that can fight infectious disease. He had been cultivating many species of bacteria in petri dishes. One day he found out that one of the mold species has infected another dish.
Before throwing out the contaminated petri dish, Fleming observed that the Peniillium mold had killed off most of the Staphylococcus population
He, later on, found out that penicillin was nontoxic to animals and humans. Penicillin became the first ever antibiotic, this antibiotic saved many lives during World War ll.
