One night, her husband returns home proudly bearing an invitation to a formal party hosted by the Ministry of Education. But she don't have nothing to wear. Her husband give money to buy a new dress.
But then she runs into a second problem: she needs to have some jewels. She borrowed a diamond nicklace from her friend Mme. Forestier but she lost it.
They decided to replace it and bought one alike for 37,000 francs.
She found Mme.Foster walking in the park and told her the truth, Mme. Forestier told Mme. Loisel that the nicklace was a copy of the real one.
