  • Cherry and Ponyboy are finding out that they have a lot in common. they are quickly becoming friends.
  • We're not so different, Cherry. You and I both take the same classes in school, and like going to the movies, and watch sunsets too.
  • Yes, Ponyboy. I can really talk to you.
  • Cherry sees Bob and realizes that she shouldn't be hanging out with the greasers.
  • @#%*!
  • Oh no, it's Bob!
  • I'll go with you, Bob. Just give me a minute!
  • What do you think you're doing greaser?! Cherry, get in the car!
  • I hope Ponyboy will understand why I can't talk to him at school. He's a nice boy, but he is a greaser
  • Cherry knows that her friends and the society will not approve of her friendship with Ponyboy
  • Cherry struggles with her identity as the soc. She knows she can never be friends with the greasers in public.
  • Ponyboy, if I don't say hello in school, well, it's nothing personal. And I hope I never see Dally again, I could really fall in love with him.
