Today we are going to learn about the history of the atomic structure.
The first explanation of matter and atoms came from Thales of Miletus, He stated that everything, and everyone was made up of water,
Then came Aristotle. Aristotle thought Thales was completly wrong, and that it was everything was not made up of just water. There was also fire, earth and air!
Democritus got a little closer. The main point of his was that atoms are the smallest thing in the universe.
But don't forget that he also said atoms were the smallest thing in the universe, and they are the building blocks of life.
2,000 years later, someone finally proposed another idea! This person was Dalton, John, Dalton. John got even closer than Democritus.
