  • President Jefferson Davis.
  • PLEASE! Join the Confederates and fight for our cause!
  • Union
  • VS
  • Confederates
  • I want you to join the UNION Army!
  • President Abraham Lincoln.
  • My name is Emm... Franklin Thompson! I'm 21.
  • Abraham Lincoln wants 75,000 volunteers!
  • Name and age please.
  • Should I become a spy?
  • Great, now who will take his spot?
  • General! I have to inform you that one of our major spies has died!
  • On April 12, 1861, many from the South of America believed that people should be allowed to have slaves, but Abraham Lincoln (along with people from the North) believed that they didn't need slaves and that slavery was wrong. This made the South so mad that they decided to break apart from America. The South is referred as the Confederacy and the North is called the Union.
  • Get back to work on that parapet Cuff!
  • Fine!
  • In this cell, I put Emma Edmonds trying to join the Union Army. Emma joined the Union Army on April 25, 1861 by disguising herself as a man named Franklin Thompson. She joined the Union to make her father proud and not mad at her for being a woman.
  • Raise your hands, both of you!
  • They're taking you, not me.
  • Yes, they finally came!
  • This is the Union! Stop!
  • Dang it! They found us Charles!
  • In this cell, Franklin Thompson is thinking about becoming a spy or not. He wants to be a spy for the Union so that he can avenge his friend, James Vesey, that has just died.
  • Franklin!
  • Union Army
  • Bye Mrs. Butler. Bye Rebel. Bye Union.
  • Wait, where did Franklin Thompson go?
  • In this cell, Franklin Thompson is disguised as a Confederate slave named Cuff. He disguised himself in order to sneak into the enemy lines and find valuable information that might be useful for the Union.
  • In this cell, Franklin Thompson disguised himself as a man named Charles Mayberrry. On March 10, 1863, he went to Louisville, Kentucky to find an agent from the Confederacy that is loading them with information about the Union. When he thought that he found the guy that he was looking for, who was a man named Hall, he made up a plan to ambush him.
  • In this cell, Emma is leaving the Union Army. She is leaving the Union because she got sick with malaria, so if she goes to the Union hospital, then she would reveal her true identity.
