Storyboard Text

  • Around 1945, Mr. Frank had returned to Amsterdam after he had escaped it in the very first place. He remembered all of the places and memories of Amsterdam. He had started to sob until he saw Anne's diary.
  • Burn Them. All of them... Anne's Diary! No don't burn that!!!
  • You are going to burn this? This is Anne's diary.
  • When Anne first gets her diary, she was so boisterous. As she was going towards the door to go downstairs to get a pencil, her father had grabbed her and explained that it was not safe.
  • We can't even go downstairs !!! This is going to be so boring!!!
  • No Anne, I'm sorry, it's just not safe.
  • The tension starts between both Mr. Van Daan and Anne. Mr. Van Daan believes that Anne is an obnoxious little brat who needs a good old spanking. Anne begs to differ until later in the story.
  • Oh, why Mr. Van Daan, I thought I wasn't allowed to talk, wasn't I?
  • Why do you have to be so pestering and vociferous?!?
  • In the middle of the night, Anne wakes up screaming with terror because of her nightmare. Her mother then sits by her side trying to comfort her but Anne rejects her mother and asks for her father.
  • Mom, I want to talk dad about this, I'm sorry.
  • Oh, okay. (Sniffling) I guess I'll go get your father.
  • The scene is set with everybody celebrating the night of Hanukkah. Mr. Van Daan and Peter talk about Peter's cat Mouschi which sets tension between the two.
  • What is wrong with you and that darn cat. He is eating all of my darn food!!!
  • Why are you so concerned about yourself? Why don't you care about others???
