Odysseus saw the neighboring land of the Cyclopes. He took him and his crew to find out who they are. When they had arrived, there were large herds of sheep and a deep cave at the edge close to the sea in which a giant lived.
They entered the cave. There was a lot of cheese decorated on the walls and sheep in pens. Odysseus's crew wanted to take the cheese and leave, but Odysseus knew he had to meet the Cyclopes.
Are you on business, or do you roam at random, like pirates who chance their lives to bring evil to others?
Odysseus told Polyphemus to fear the gods because they are with him. Polyphemus got mad at this, saying he cares nothing of the gods. Then Polyphemus asks where his ship is, but Odysseus was clever and said it was destroyed. Then Polyphemus killed two of the crew.
Fear the gods, bro.
WHERE IS YOUR SHIP!
Odysseus had planned to stab Polyphemus in the liver but then he thought of the fact that the rock would still be in the way and they would starve to death.
Odysseus had come up with a plan to stab Polyphemus in the eye after putting him to sleep with wine. So, as usual, Polyphemus ate two men. Then Odysseus had offered wine to Polyphemus and he loved it. His gift to Odysseus is that he would be eaten last.
Odysseus waited until he was asleep to heat up the stick and stab Polyphemus's eye. Then they snuck out of the cave under the sheep while Polyphemus was angry.
Odysseus was arrogant when he left, yelling to Polyphemus that he tricked him and escaped. Polyphemus got triggered and killed almost everybody on the ship except for Odysseus.
