When Nando was young he broke both of his legs. Nando could have been an amazing rugby Player, though he is still good he could have been great if he would not have broken his legs. This shapes Nandos destiny because even though this accident has happened he is still an outstanding rugby player and plays for one of the best teams in south america. Nando is fighting his destiny because even though he is trapped in the mountains and starving and cold he won't give up, he will keep finding a way to stay alive and keep hope
Temptations/ Loneliness/ Heroic flaw
An avalanche falls on Nando and his team, They all help each other and dig each other out. Nando while he is buried thanks his life is over, he thinks that all is lost, he loses faith. Then a hand is touch his face as he is dug out from the snow. He then realizes there is hope him and his team start to unbury all of the rest only 19 people remain now. Nando learns from this that he must keep faith, people are out there looking for them and he must keep moving on. He is freezing every day and starving but he must keep going.
Nando was a very happy person before the crash, but ever since he lost his mother and sister he has changed. His energy is lower not only because he is tired and is close to starving to death, but with all the death and sadness sometimes it is hard for him to keep going. But he does Nando is determined to get back home and help get the remaining survivors back as well.
The journey is very hard for Nando and his team. They are freezing and starving, they are going through very harsh times. They soon learn that they must do what ever they can in order to survive, one being they must eat there fallen brothers and family members in order to survive. They don't face many temptations except for just wanting to get home they all think about there family every day and wonder if people are still looking for them. Nando feels very lonely with out his mother or sister but he still has his team, his brothers. They work and encourage each other and push each other. Nando and his team can get through these hard times, but they must work together.
