Consequences: During the war there were many major battles. One of the most important was the Battle of Saratoga. At Saratoga once the Patriots won, the French became allies with them
The Redcoats surrendered to the Patriots causing the colonists to win at Yorktown
Consequences: The document officially ending the American Revolution was called the Treaty of Paris (1783). The treaty forced the Redcoats out of the colonies and made the British recognize America as an independent nation
A couple of centuries later, America became a respectable country known for it's diversity and equality
