Storyboard Text

  • Montresor runs into a drunk Fortunado at the carnival.
  • Monstresor tricks Fortunado into coming to his house late at night.
  • Montresor leads Fortunado down to the catacombs to kill him.
  • Here, we created a scene of Montresor and Fortunato at the carnival. We gave Montresor darker features showing he is mysterious and gloomy. He also has red eyes to symbolize his evil inside. Fortunato is wearing a silly carnival costume and he is also jumping with joy because he heard about Montresor's wine.
  • In the catacombs, Fortunato ignores his cough and insults Montresor
  • Here, Montresor takes Fortunato by the arm to lead him to his house. We made the sky dark because it is late at night. Fortunato has a tilted head to show he is a bit delirious from all the drinking.
  • Montresor catches Fortunato by surprise and chains him to the wall. He starts to build a wall so Fortunato doesn't escape.
  • Montresor leads the toxicated Fortunato down the staircase to the catacombs. We made Fortunato in a surprised or excited face because he still thinks he is just going down there to get wine.Montresor still has red eyes because he is about to kill somebody. Montresor is running because he is ready to kill Fortunat
  • Montresor throws his torch into Fortunato's cell and finished the brick wall.
  • This setting is suppose to resemble the catacombs. We gave Fortunato an angry face because Montresor keeps asking him about his cough. Montresor also has a mad expression because Fortunato laughs at him.
  • This cell portrays Fortunato chained to the wall. His head is slightly tilted due to the drinking side effects; he fell into this trap because he was very drunk. He also is on his knees and has a shocked face. Montresor has started to build a brick wall and that is why we have half of a stone wall here.
  • It is the last scene and the wall is fully built enclosed with Fortunato, a torch, and nitre. The nitre will explode if it comes in contact with fire, killing Fortunato. The black silhouette is Montresor staring and the dying Fortunato.Montresor is saying, “In pace requiescant!” Meaning rest in peace.
  • In pace requiescat!
