Storyboard Text

  • Philip Malloy is a Ninth Grader at Harrison High School in Harrison, New Hampshire. He has just been switched to Miss Narwin's homeroom class, and Philip hates Miss Narwin. He also has Miss Narwin for English class, and she gave him a D on his report card. Since Philip got a D, he wasn't allowed to try out for the track team. This made Philip hate her even more, and Philip started to behave badly in Miss Narwin's class.

  • Philip loves track, but he was told he can't be on the track team because Miss Narwin gave him a D on his report card. To be on a team, you have to have a B or higher. Philip then got even more mad when he hd to be in Ms. Narwin's homeroom. Philip then decided to start humming the Star Spangled Banner to annoy Miss Narwin.
  • Oh, say can you see by the dawn's early light What so proudly we hailed at the twilight's last gleaming....
  • Philip got switched to Miss Narwin's homeroom class after she gave him a D on his report card, and now Philip hates her even more. During morning announcements, they play the Star Spangled Banner, and Philip started humming it just to bother Miss Narwin. Philip did this two days in a row, so he got expelled from school for a few days.

  • Philip got home and told his parents that the reason he got expelled was for being patriotic His parents got very mad, so the gat a reporter, and someone on the school board involved. The reported and the school board published papers, and made speeches so that the whole world would know about this issue. Miss Narwin started getting lots of hate mail, and she was about to lose her job.
  • The day Philip came back to school after he was expelled was such a and day for him. All the kids knew that al of this was Philips fault, and they were on Miss Narwin's side. All the kids were laughing at, or ignoring Philip. Miss Narwin didn't come back to school because of all the people that hate her. Philip begged his parents to let him switch schools, and his parents finally gave in.

  • Philip now goes to a new school with all new teachers and students, and no one knows his story. Philip was in class, and they asked him if he wanted to sing the Pledge of Allegience, but Philip said no. Now he is happy with his new friends, school, and teachers, and he does not think of what happened before.
