Babur founded the Mughal Empire. He was known as a brilliant general. He also was known for his diary which held all of his triumphs and losses, in all different fields.
Later, Akbar, Babur's grandson, ruled from 1556 to 1605. He was known for his strength, wisdom, and tolerance. He allowed people to practice their religion. He also abolished the tax on non-Muslims.
In 1658, Aurangzeb gained power. He lost some of his power due to being a very rigid ruler who forced his Islamic beliefs on others.
