  • Babur founded the Mughal Empire. He was known as a brilliant general. He also was known for his diary which held all of his triumphs and losses, in all different fields.
  • Later, Akbar, Babur's grandson, ruled from 1556 to 1605. He was known for his strength, wisdom, and tolerance. He allowed people to practice their religion. He also abolished the tax on non-Muslims.
  • In 1658, Aurangzeb gained power. He lost some of his power due to being a very rigid ruler who forced his Islamic beliefs on others.
