  • King Henry VIII was married to Catherine of Aragon, but he was not happy about it and wanted a divorce, because she could not produce the son that he wanted.
  • King Henry VIII Marries Anne Boleyn
  • King Henry VIII went to Pope Clement VII and asked if he could divorce Catherine of Aragon. But he refused the request and sent him out.
  • King Henry VIII executes Anne Boleyn
  • King Henry was very desperate to divorce Catherine, so he split from the Catholic Church and made his own church called the Church of England. This was called the English Reformation.
  • King Henry VIII had a son
  • King Henry VIII divorced Catherine and then married Anne Boleyn, so he could have the son he wanted.
