  • NItrogen is everywhere. Our atmosphere has 78% Nitrogen and 21% Oxygen. The 1% left is all the other things things in the atmosphere.
  • This little dot is a nitrogen molycule and it floats around untill it goes into a plant.
  • in the roots of the plants the nitrogen gets turned into ammonia by Rhizobium bacterium in the plant roots.
  • Then other bacteria turn the ammonia in nitrites and then nitrates.
  • It can also become usable if it gets it by lightning. When it does it gets destroyed and releases nitrogenus compunds
  • On of these compunds is ammonia.
