  • Thank you for letting me stay here. I appreciate it very much. 
  • Welcome. I am Charbonneau and this is my wife Sacajawea. I am a French Trader. We are pleased to meet you. 
  • Hello. I am Sacajawea. My husband and I are both interpreters. 
  • My wife is pregnant and will soon be having a baby. The baby is due any day now. How long do you think you will be staying for? 
  • The whole winter if that is alright with you. 
  • Thank you Charbonneau and Sacajawea for inviting me into your home. 
  • You are welcome anytime Lewis. 
  • It looks like it is getting dark. Let's get inside and get you settled in. You may stay as long as needed. 
  • Sacajawea, Charbonneau, and Lewis went to bed that night knowing they could trust one another. 
  • February 11, 1805
  • Thank you for letting me stay, but I best be going. Thank you for keeping me throughout the winter. 
  • Sacajawea gave birth to her first baby boy named Baptiste. This was the first child she had conceived and the baby was healthy.
