  • THE WORST BURGER KING EXPERIENCE EVER...
  • Hmm... This tastes odd.
  • Let me ask you a few questions, did your food taste raw, was it warm when it came to you and what was the food item you bought?
  • Hello Dr. Superhero, I have had a high fever and have been vomiting since after I went to Burger King.
  • Hmm...This sounds like salmonella. Salmonella is the biggest cause of food borne illness.
  • Yes, No, and I ordered a Whopper Chicken Sandwich and the meat was pretty raw.
  • We start out today at Burger King. A guy named Ronald McDonald just walked in the restaurant, he ordered a Whopper Chicken Sandwich and left the restaurant with a weird feeling in his stomach.
  • Salmonella is a disease that can be transmitted by contaminated food or someone not washing their hands after the bathroom. Ways to avoid salmonella are to always wash your hands after going to the bathroom, keeping foods chilled before cooking or eating it, and eating at clean restaurants such as the McDonald's on Plainfield Road.
  • What is Salmonella, anyways?
  • Salmonella causes 19,000 hospitalizations and 300 deaths each year. Good things to do if you have Salmonella are to drink many fluids and get plenty of rest. Also, if you believe the food you are eating is raw please throw it out and not take a chance in getting salmonella. Also, go home and do your Labsent Homework for Ms. Haney.
  • The next day, after having to take off work, Ronald shows up at Dr. Superhero's Office.
  • Can you please give me a few fun facts about Salmonella?
  • Your welcome, you'll be cured in no time. Thanks for the visit...Next time, eat at McDonald's.
  • LOL shhh.....this is a hopital. Thank you Dr. Superhero.
  • I guess this was pretty much an SMH face palm moment for Ronald...knowing that he had salmonella. Even the doctor knew he was triggered.
  • Fun Fact: Eggs, Poultry, Meat, Unpasteurized milk or juice, Cheese, Contaminated fruits and vegetables, Spices, & Nuts can be causes of the disease.
  • This is the end to our shocking story. Sources: https://www.foodsafety.gov/poisoning/causes/bacteriaviruses/salmonella/ http://www.idph.state.il.us/public/hb/hbsam.htm (Ms. Haney, now is time to schedule our field trip to McDonald's, so we can order Hotcakes.)
