  • The Romans banned the Jews from living in Palestine after they revolted over how the Roman's ruled the country.
  • 1000BCE-132CE
  • You have to get out, bye.
  • This is not fair!
  • A few hundred years later, the Arabs took over Palestine and made it into an Arab state. It then became part od the Arab Empire.
  • 632CE
  • This place is now ours!
  • During the First World War, Britain captured Palestine and gave it to the Jews, leaving a small section for the Palestinians. After the First World War, many Jews went from Europe to escape Hitler's fascism.
  • First World War
  • No, this place belongs to the Jews now. The rest of you can go away somewhere.
  • Post Second World War
  • After the Second World War had ended, the Jews decided to revolt against the British rule and set up the State of Israel. The state was part of the UN in 1948 and the parts that weren't part of the new state became part of the State of Jordan.
  • We want this place to ourselves, Britain needs to leave us alone!
  • 1967
  • In 1967, Israel took over everything that is West of the River of Jordan. The Jews protected this area with their lives. They wouldn't let anyone in the border from the East side.
  • We own everything on the West of the River Jordan!
  • Currently.
  • Israel was told to give up the occupied areas by the UN but refused. They said that the Palestinians had to recognise where the Israeli borders were.
  • No!
  • Just give it up already!
