  • ** RESOLUTION The Misfit shoots the grandmother in the chest. The Misfit observes that the grandmother could have been a good woman if someone had been around to shoot her every minute of her life
  • There are two types of conflicts in the story Man v.s. Self which is because the the grandmother thinks she is far above everyone else so its an internal conflict. The other conflict in the story is between the family wanting to live and the misfit wanting to kill them therefore its a Man v.s. Man conflict Events of Irony 1.The story starts out with the family going to take a summer vacation and ends up with all of them being murdrered, which is not something you would expect 2. After the car accident on the road June Star was upset that nobody was killed, this is ironic because the whole family ends up dead by the end of the story. 3. the grandmother states that she wouldnt ever take her children in any direction with a criminal like the Misfit aloose in it.Ironically this is exactly what she does when she temps her family to visit the old house
