- Ove had gotten a divorce from his wife. He isn't taking it as serious as he should be.

- Ove is frustrated with himself because he doesn't know where he is. Not only does he not know where they are but he has lost the bicycles.

- He's been shot with a tranquilizer dart. The communists have messed up the streets while pushing through the garbage.

- Ove doesn't have much confidence in himself. He feels that since the doesn't know where he is, that he will never find his destination.
- Ove has hissed at a Prince. He has to suffer the consequence.
