- India is situated north of the equator between 8 degrees 4' north (the mainland) to 37 degrees 6' north latitude and 68 degrees 7' east to 97 degrees 25' east longitude. It is the seventh-largest country in the world, with a total area of 3,287,263 square kilometres (1,269,219 square miles)

- The majority of Asian Indians practice the Hinduism. Today India is considered a mixed economy: the private and the public sectors co-exist and the country leverages international trade. Historically, India has classified and tracked its economy and GPD in three sectors: agriculture, industry, and services.
- The caste systems divides Hindus into four main categories. Brahmins, Kshatriyas, Vaishyas, and the Shudras. Many believe that the group originated from Brahma, the Hindu God of creation. The major components of social structure are statues, roles, social networks, groups and organizations, social institutions, and society.
