- We are Muslims and we have to leave Spain because we aren't Catholics.
- The Reconquista was a Crusade to take back the Iberian Peninsula. In the late 1400s King Ferdinand and Queen Isabella wanted to have Spain as a Catholic country. What they used was the inquisition which was a Roman Catholic court.
- In 1492, Granada the last Muslim rule in Spain, fell to Ferdinand and Isabella and every Jew had to become Catholics or leave the country.
