- Mary Warren gives Elizabeth a poppet she made in the court. John and Elizabeth find out that she was accused by Abagail.
- What work you do? It’s strange work for a Christian girl to hang old women!

- Cheever arrives with a warrant for Elizabeth and the proof is the poppet that Mary gave her that had needles in it. Abagail said that Elizabeth's needles from the poppet stabbed her. They take Elizabeth to jail for witchcraft.
- Why, she done it herself! To hale: I hope you’re nottakin’ this for proof, Mister!
- WARRENT:Elizabeth Proctor
- John and Mary went to tell the truth about the girls and that he had and affair with Abigail. Then Mary says she can't admit to it anymore because she is scared what Abigail will do to her.
- I have naught to change, sir. She lies

- He wake me every night, hiseyes were like coals and his fingers claw my neck, and I sign, I sign
- She never saw no spirits, sir.
- John tells Danforth that he can ask Elizabeth to prove that he is telling the truth. John tell the court that his wife, Elizabeth never lies. Danforth has Elizabeth brought to the courthouse so he can see if her husband, John is telling the truth. Elizabeth's response is ironic because John said she never lies and she just lied. Mary Warren then turns on John Proctor and claims he is with the Devil. She said she would not be hung with John. After Mary's confession, Danforth charged John Proctor with witchcraft.
- Look at me! To your own knowledge, has John Proctor ever committed the crime of lechery? Answer my question! Is your husband a lecher
- No, sir
- Abigail has stole Rev. Parris money and fled to Barbados. John Proctor and now pregnant Elizabeth reunite and make up, John proctor was going to admit to witchcraft but then doesn't because he knows it isn't true. His punishment is a public hanging.
- Courage, man, courage—let her witness your good example that she may come to God herself. Now hear it, Goody Nurse! Say on, Mr. Proctor. Did you bind yourself to the Devil’s service?
- Because it is my name! Because I cannot have another in my life!
- Parris tries to convince Elizabeth to get him to change his mind, as does Hale. She will not make him do evil, even to save himself. The people who have been killed have already died innocently. Then John Procter, Rebecca Nurse, and Martha Corey are hung to end the story.
- HANG THEM!!!!!
