Exposition: Sully Atkins, a 19 year old teenager and his little sister Scoot Atkins, a 14 year old girl are sailing in Baja California on The Old Sea Dog , a boat that Sully knows how to navigate well. The weather at the time was sunny with a slight breeze. Scoot was amazed and excited because it was her first time on a boat at sea.
I'm so excited! This is going to be so great!
Rising Action: There is a rogue wave approaching the direction that The Old Sea Dog is traveling in, and Sully realizes that he has to act quickly so he and his sister don't get hurt, since scoot was in the cabin, not knowing something tragic was about to happen. (Information from pg. 5)

Climax/Conflict: Scoot is inside the cabin of the boat, trapped and she isn't aware of any of this because she is unconscious, since the impact of the boat affected her most. (Pg. 10)
Oh, no! Scoot! How am I going to get her out??!

Falling Action: Scoot woke up and had found some tools she could use to get out of the boat. Meanwhile, Sully does not know that his sister is alive, so he is frustrated. (Pg. 11)

Falling Action: Scoot was able to get out of the boat by using a wrench and a flashlight. Sully, her brother, was so happy to see her alive and out of the boat. (Pg. 14)
Scoot! I thought you would never make it out alive!
Sully! I am so happy to see you!
Conclusion: Scoot and Sully are spotted by a boat, The Red Rooster, and rescued by them. The Red Rooster saved their lives. (Pg. 14)
