Would it be enough to consider it a religion?
Hmm. Humanism's factors outcomes are similar to what many popular religions have, like missionaries and natural laws, so I'd guess I would say yes.

Yes, that is true but however religion is a system of norms values that is created based on the belief of superhuman and is spread, just like humanism.
Some might say that religions follows someone that is considered to be "supernatural" or god(s) and humanism doesn't.
For example, the Nazis followed evolutionary humanism. They believed the Aryan race was the most superior population of Homo sapiens and tried to extinguish the rest. They did this because they believed in the power potential of humanity, like how people worship god(s).

Scientists have debunked Hitler's theory, but determined that genes causes human decisions, but it could be also political.
You can say humanism is an ideology or religion, but both have norms values created by a superhuman that can both alter the world.
