  • How Carl Rogers Sees Me
  • Just finished my daily run. Time to go make avocado toast for breakfast!
  • How Karen Horney Sees Me
  • Mom, who won? I think I did! No, I did!
  • How Alfred Alder Sees Me
  • HAHAAHAHAHAH!! That's so funny Jill!
  • As Rogers describes, a healthy individual is fully functioning and striving for our fullest potential. When I work out, drink lots of water, and pursue activities that better my well-being, Carl Rogers would say I am a healthy person.
  • How Bandura Sees Me
  • Man! I can't get this one yet. Let me look at a previous question to see if I can figure this out! I know I can solve this.
  • By the description of her "womb envy," humans build their personalities striving to feel loved. If we do not obtain this, we feel anxious and helpless. Oftentimes growing up, my brother and I fought for attention by trying to impress our parents. Through trying to win races or games to getting the best grades, my brother and I were always striving to feel loved.
  • How Freud Sees Me
  • Alfred Alder describes birth order as an influence on personality. In other words, depending on when you were born, relative to your siblings, has an impact on who you are today. This can be seen in my life when I make people laugh because of my last born qualities. I enjoy being the middle ground and defusing arguments.
  • How Carl Jung sees me
  • Bandura describes many social-cognitive terms. One is very prevalent in my life: self efficacy. This is how competent one feels when completing a task or goal. I visualized when I come across a hard math problem. I know I can solve it, but I am just having trouble with it at first. I normally always end up figuring it out, sometimes it takes a second look to see what has to be solved.
  • One of Freud's psychoanalytic aspects are defense mechanisms. To protect our ego we create different situations to lessen the threat of our actions. I find myself rationalizing a lot of things in my life. I try to rationalize everything in my life. If I don't feel like going to school, for example, I will rationalize going by thinking we won't do much that day anyway, so I might as well just go.
  • We are just doing fun stuff today. I don't have any tests or quizzes, so I will just go to school.
  • Carl Jung describes a part of our unconscious known as synchronicity. In short, these are meaningful coincidences that occur in your life. While some people may think these aren't really meaningful and just pure luck, things are always coincidentally happening to me. One that sticks out in my mind is when my friend and I showed up to school two days in a row with the same exact outfit on.
