At a banquet at Carthage, Aeneas begins to tell his story of the fall of Troy

Laocoon is suspicious of the horse and spears its belly

Trojans notice snake-like Sinon and begin to pity him
The Greeks need to remain safe on their journey home, and Calchas says they need a sacrifice, so Laocoon chooses Sinon, but he escapes
