- This is an example of Dramatic irony because the narrator is a crazy because he always go to the old mean bedroom for 8 long nights to see if the evil eye of the old men was open. What would normally would happen is that narrator would not be crazy if he didn't went to the old mean bedroom for 8 long nights.
- This is an example of situational irony because the insane narrator confessed in the end. What would normally would happen is that the narrator would not confess because he already kill the old mean.
