- In this box Malala is giving a speech for a competition. She ends her speech with Lincoln's words about cheating. She still felt guilty, and still does to this day according to the book.

- This box shows the scared children during the earthquake. This motivates them to want to help the other victims.

- This box shows Malala's father asking people for donations to help the earthquake victims. He does this because Malala remembered how scared she was in the earthquake and asked him to do this.
- This box shows America sending aid to Pakistan after the earthquake.
- This box shows the people volunteering to help rebuild destroyed villages.
