An example of a mixture is salt water. When salt is added to water, each substance maintains their original properties instead of creating a new substance with new properties. The salt remains salt and the water remains water, the salt is just evenly distributed. salt water can be separated by methods like evaporation, where the water is exposed to heat and evaporates, leaving the salt behind.
