  • Lamar Jackson - a famous NFL player - was struggling with his mental health on and off the field. As a result, he decided to visit a therapist in hope of developing new skills and mindsets in order to benefit himself and his skills. Ultimately, these techniques helped Lamar return to normal and overcome his stress and depression.
  • Lamar's therapist wanted him to be aware of the difference between being a Type A and Type B person. Lamar's therapist explained that he can be both at certain times, and incorporating A B would benefit him. Lamar is now viewed as a Type A individual when on the field; he is characterized by being one of the most competitive and determined players in the National Football League. The way he carries himself and prepares for games exemplifies his sense of urgency and his ambitious personality. On the other hand, once the job is finished and the game is over Lamar transitions into Type B which is described as easy going and relaxed. He sheds off his stress through ice baths and meditation.
  • Apart from therapy Social Support helped Lamar work through his stress and regain comfort. Lamar is open about his mental health struggles, emphasizing the importance of mental well-being. He's able to communicate his emotions and find support networks - his teammates have been extremely helpful and supportive; the community Lamar has around him places emphasis on the fact that he is not alone.
