Three Witches and Their Prophecies

What are these strange creatures? How oddly dressed they are!
All hail Macbeth!
Hail Macbeth, Thane of Glamis!
You shall soon be Thane of Cawdor...
And soon you shall be the King, as well.
Do you think there might be some truth to these unearthly prophecies?
To be frank, I do not think those creatures are to be trusted. You mustn't pay heed to such things.
To reward you for your bravery on the battlefield, the King has appointed you the new Thane of Cawdor.
Two noblemen, Ross and Angus, enter the scene.
But how is that so? The Thane of Cawdor is a living and healthy man.
The Thane of Cawdor is to be executed for treason.
You seem mystified with this turn of events.. Don't tell me you are starting to believe in the strange message we were told?

I hardly think such a thing could be a coincidence.. I believe that, someday or the other, I will be King. I will make sure of it.
