The mosque is an important place where people go to worship their god(s). Inside the mosque is the prayer room where worshippers sit on mats and carpets on the floor. Many design styles and materials went into building mosques, reflecting the great diversity of Muslim lands.
science and tecgnology
As with all scholarship, some Muslims studied geography simply out of curiosity, but it had practical uses, too. Muslims were able to create extremely accurate maps due to the study of geography. A scholar in Muslim Spain even produced a world atlas with dozens of maps of lands in Europe, Africa etc

Muslims greatly advanced the study of mathematics. Scholars in Baghdad's House of Wisdom translated the works of the Greek mathematician Euclid, as well as important texts from India. Then they adapted what they learned and added their own contributions.
