Subjectivity is the concept in qualitative research that everyone has an unavoidable personal perspective that necessarily affects how you conduct research, interpret data, and construct meaning.

Subjectivity Statements
Subjectivity statements are provided as part of qualitative research in order to acknowledge who researchers are in relation to who or what they are studying and how their positionalities may affect their research. Subjectivity statements remove the illusion of objectivity and allow other scholars to consider the study's credibility and authenticity.
