They traveled so far that Hemad is thinking that he will not reach home. It was as hot as a bondfire.But he hears that he will have a chance at the next resting spot because it will be night time and Emen might fall asleep. He also finds out that they have walked to the North and South Sudan border. He would have to get away tonight because it would be the last night they would be in South Sudan.

One night Hemad sneaked away while Emen was sleeping. Emen woke up and grabbed his rifle ready to shoot Hemad. Hemad counters this and grabbs a pistol that he stole from Emen the night before. He shot Emen in the chest killing blood rushing like a fash flood. Emen's last words was about how he respected Hemad. Hemad held his head high.
Thats for all the pain you have caused.

Hemad made it home a hero. He came home alive but hurt, starving, and thirsty. He came back knowing what he did and proud of it. He stopped a terrorist that could have tooken more lives and even his. He recovered and lived on to be a NFL player.
