Subject is seen walking to end of street (in frame) with diegetic sounds of cars & the gentle wind blowing. voice-over begins: “for as long as i can remember, i’ve never felt emotions or been able to see colours."
scene 4 of intro:
i love you, jenna.
*camera cuts and is far away from her (at end of isle) w background slightly blurred, she also walks slightly forward before grabbing something from the isle and putting it in her cart*. voice-over: “i don’t know what it feels like to cry”
scene 5 of intro:
*cuts to a group of friends laughing*, voiceover: “to laugh.”
scene 6 of intro:
*receives a message saying “i love you, jenna”, “or to tell someone i love them and mean it.”
*cuts to her sitting on a chair waiting,* voiceover:: “i’ve been to so many doctors. i mean, how often do you hear abt a female can’t feel emotions?” *she slowly stands up from chair. the camera focuses on chair until next scene* “a ‘robot,’ is what they call me. that’s what i am to them. not a 16-year-old who lives in the dark because she can’t physically feel anything.”
*cuts to her sitting in an all-white/bright room & camera quality/colours start to fuzz up/together until its blurry* “not a teenage girl who has memories but can’t link emotions or colours to them. not someone who has always struggled, trying to find passions that bring them endless joy."
