This is a first person point of view of Sammy when she sees Mikey out of school and eating a double dynomo instead of being in school. This is first person point of view because we can not tell what Mikey or Marissa is feeling or thinking
In this Sammy Keyes scene Sammy sees a man stealing from a purse in the heavenly hotel with binoculars. When she realizes that the man who was stealing money also saw her watching him steal from a purse. This is a man vs. society because it's The thief vs. the law.
A theme for Sammy Keyes and the Hotel Thief is that not everybody is who they seem. This is when Oscar was actually 3 different people and nobody knew. One of his disguise was a blind ice cream man, the other he would wear a blond wig while walking around the street, and the other was when he was at his job.
