  • Eurydice was kidnapped by a snake and taken to the underworld. Orpheus was devastated to lose his wife forever.

  • Orpheus met Eurydice one day in the forest and they quickly fell in love and got married.

  • Orpheus anxiously looked back when he was in the light. Eurydice had not yet made it out of the underworld and into the light. She would now have to live forever with Hades. Orpheus was devastated once again.

  • The moral of the story is to always practice self control and follow directions. Orepheus was very close to saving his wife from Hades, but failed to have self control. He looked back at his wife and she was unable to leave the underworld.
