After I got burned in a fire and had scars, I went to school and was bullied because of them. scars again. I’ve learned not to listen to the negativity of others and to embrace who I am.
What challenges did you face growing up, and how did you deal with them?

Since I've been through tough times myself, and I know how much even small support can mean. It makes me want to share that strength with others.
How did you find the strength to help others during tough times?

I saw an older lady struggling with her cart at the store, so I quickly stepped in, grabbed it for her, and helped her along. She smiled and thanked me, and it felt good to lend a hand.
Can you share a time where you had to be brave and step up for someone else?

When my son had surgery, I sacrificed personal time and work to be there for him. His recovery was my top priority.
What personal sacrifices have you made to support your family

Donating to the One Heart To Another program and helping out with their needs. On top of that, I volunteer at Community Solutions, wrapping presents for adopted kids.
What do you think has been your greatest act of kindness or strength in your life?

What's one of your biggest accomplishment in life?
Raising my kids to be kind and independent. It wasn’t always easy, but seeing them grow into great people makes me so proud.
