Actually, funny thing, I have been in a similar situation. I moved to the US a couple of months back, but I wasn't treated exactly the way I wanted to be, and all because of my ethnicity.
Rosaura and Jun became good friends, and they like to hang out from time to time now.
That's awesome, I'm glad you were able to end up appreciated and felt better about yourself! I guess I can think about it the same way. Thanks a lot, I won't forget this.
However, I later moved and started realizing that since I'd be Asian for the rest of my life, I just accepted it, and it wasn't even that bad; people started to gain interests in the Asian culture, which made me feel a lot better.
