THIS WAY UP
SEPTEMBER
At home...
You get puffed just walking up the driveway.
The protagonist, Corey Roberts, develops as the story progresses.
After his mother's ultimatum...
At the beginning, Corey loved nothing more than to sit in his room, alone, playing Counter Strike. He hated team sports.
His clothes didn't fit him, he felt tired walking up the drive and dreamed of his favourite dessert - lemon meringue pie. Basically, he was overweight and unhealthy.

FINISH LINE
Later in the story, he joined the orienteering club and became fitter having thought it would be a "stroll". He had friends who shared similar problems and stuck up for him when he was bullied. He even bought new sneakers contributing some of his own money.
He developed his navigation skills and "Cunning Running".
