Huckleberry Finn Comic Strip

In this scene toward the end of the book after Jim is rescued by Huck and Tom Sawyer, he is told that Miss Watson freed him in her will. He is also told by Tom that Miss Watson died two months prior making him a free man. Jim is excited by this news and thanks the two boys.
Oh thank ya Mr.Tom, you have no idea, me a free man!
Jim, you have been a free man all along, Miss Watson freed you in her will, she died two months ago.
In this scene, two men travel by looking for Jim and want to search Huck's boat. Huck thinks quickly and tells them they can't because Huck's father is on the boat sick with smallpox. This makes the men scared, giving Huck money for their trouble and leaving. Later that night Huck Jim's boat is hit by a steamboat separating the two.
