- Before I was educated on how the combustion engines emits CO2 and other pollutants into the atmosphere, I drove a Chevy 3500. I didn't know I was releasing over 22 pounds of CO2 for every gallon of diesel my truck burnt. I needed to find a more environmentally friendly alternative.
- Now, I drive a Tesla Model S which is an electric car that doesn't produce any emissions. There are some emissions from producing the electricity. However, soon I will be looking to buy a car with a hydrogen fuel cell which will be even better for the environment.
- When I'm in town, I park my car and hop on my bike to get exercise and pickup local items. This is the best option in reducing my carbon footprint as there are no emissions other than my sweat. My chemical potential energy is transformed into mechanical kinetic energy and thermal and sound energy.
