- The Gift of Magi by O.Henry: Jim and Della are eating breakfast on Christmas Eve and they are discussing what they are going to buy for breakfast because the have not bought anything.
- Jim and Della are walking around the store to look what they are going to buy for each other.Della really wants to. buy a present for Jim.She can't resist with him not having one.She walks around the store and finds a watch that costs $21.
- Della realizes that she only has $1.87.She doesn't have enough money for the watch.
- Della decides to cut her hair and sell it to a store so that she can buy Jim the watch
- When Jim gets home he realizes that Della cut her hair and he was shocked.Della hopes that Jim will not get mad at her.
- Jim still loves Della although she cut her hair.He is very appreciated for her bravery.
